1. Cornerstone [n]

• Foundation, basis, keystone, mainspring, आधारशिला

2. Run afoul of something [idiom]

• To do something that is not allow by law or rule, to do something that people in authority disapprove of
• Udta Punjab had run afoul of Indian censors.

3. Derogatory [adj]

• Showing a critical attitude towards somebody, disparaging, denigratory, belittling, insulting, अपमानजनक
• We have cut all derogatory and offensive words.

4. Meticulous [adj]

• Careful, conscientious, diligent, scrupulous, सतर्कतापूर्वक
• The drug was meticulously concealed in thick khakhi covers wrapped in carbon papers.

5. Vest in somebody/something [phrv]

• To belong to somebody / something legally
• In the case of bankruptcy, the property shall vest in the trustee.
